Kara Skinner

Born and raised in Texas, Kara spent 20 years in the restaurant industry as a pastry chef in high end restaurants and as a sales account manager for a locally owned wholesale bakery in Dallas. In 2016, a job opportunity in northern Colorado presented itself, so Kara and her husband jumped at the chance to live where they could embrace their love of the outdoors. When the pandemic hit in 2020, they realized the importance of having family and friends nearby, so they relocated (along with their two fur babies) from Colorado to his hometown, Festus. Due to the uncertainty of the restaurant industry, Kara decided to focus on her love of architecture, design and working with people and pursued a career in real estate. Her approach to real estate is focused around getting to know her clients and guiding them through a seamless transition from beginning to end. She brings a unique level of experience having worked in demanding, fast paced environments. Kara is determined, diligent, charismatic and energetic. Her sassy Southern charm will make you feel right at home while finding your dream home! In her spare time, Kara enjoys hanging out with her husband and their two dogs, traveling, hiking, cooking, trying new restaurants and being outdoors.
